“I’m through!”
We’ve all said that; many of you are probably thinking it right now as you reflect on the shit show that 2024 was.
I’ve heard this song thousands of times in a song, but today, the words hit differently. Three lines hit me as I went to the office to lay out my plans for 2025. There are three lines that I’ve never put any thought into while listening to this song.
Line 1 @ 0:11 = “Tell me what you want”
Line 2 @ 0:24 = “Uh, so what you need?”
Line 3 @ 0:51 = “So how you gonna do it?”
This hit me for two reasons. First, on planning my year with the right questions in mind. Second, my team should ask our clients these tough questions.
To get where I want to go, my team has to help our clients get where they want to go.
But the question rings in my head: How many of us really delve deep into “what we want, what we need to get it, and how we’re doing to get it?”
So, as I sit here today planning out the following year, I’m forced to answer the most straightforward three questions I’ll ask myself this year.
