Day 290 – The Puzzle – Why I Love Working with Restaurant Owners and Helping Them Make More Money

If you know me, you know I have one mission—helping restaurant owners win. It’s not just business for me; it’s personal. I’ve spent years in the trenches with independent restaurant owners, watching them grind day in and day out, often with little to show for it. That’s why I do what I do—because I know there’s a better way.

My Journey Into Restaurant Marketing

I didn’t wake up one day and decide to help restaurants. It started back in 2008 when I launched my marketing firm, diving headfirst into the digital world when most businesses still relied on traditional advertising. I worked with all kinds of industries, but one thing became clear—restaurants needed help the most.

Growing up, my family dined out a lot. I didn’t realize it at the time, but those experiences shaped how I see the restaurant business today. I know what makes a great dining experience, but more importantly, I understand the struggles of restaurant owners. Most of them aren’t marketers. They’re chefs, operators, and entrepreneurs who are amazing at what they do—but they don’t always know how to attract and keep customers coming back. That’s where I come in.

The Biggest Problem Restaurants Face

The biggest challenge I see? Too many restaurant owners rely on hope marketing. They assume that because they have a great menu and a good location, customers will magically show up. But in today’s world, that’s not enough. The restaurants that thrive are the ones that take control of their marketing. They build customer databases, engage with their audience, and create loyalty beyond the transaction.

When I started America’s Best Restaurants, it was because I saw a massive gap in how independent restaurants marketed themselves. Most owners are too busy running their business to focus on marketing, and unfortunately, that means they leave a ton of money on the table. My goal is to change that.

My Mission: Helping Restaurants Take Control of Their Marketing

I’ve spent years fine-tuning strategies that work. Whether it’s using email and text marketing to bring customers back or leveraging social media the right way, I help restaurant owners take control of their customer flow. The best part? It’s all measurable. We’re not guessing—we’re tracking real results.

I’ve seen it firsthand: when a restaurant owner embraces a strong marketing strategy, everything changes. They go from struggling to fill tables to having a steady stream of loyal customers. They start making more money, reducing stress, and actually enjoying running their business again.

Why This Matters to Me

At the end of the day, I love this industry because of the people in it. Restaurant owners are some of the hardest-working entrepreneurs out there. They put their heart and soul into their food and their business, and they deserve success.

If I can play a small role in helping them thrive, that’s a win for me. That’s why I get up every day and do what I do. And if you’re a restaurant owner who’s tired of struggling with marketing, let’s talk. There’s a better way—and I’d love to help you find it.
