This Weeks MP’s Minute – Embrace The Suck…You Can Do It

I forgot my why.

I lost my way.

I backed myself into a corner trying to scale America’s Best Restaurants without outside money.

And I’ll be honest, every few weeks, quitting crosses my mind.

I think:

“Go from 45 employees to 5.”

“Burn it down and start fresh.”

“Life would be easier.”

But then I remember my WHY.

I already had that “easy” life. I’ve lived it.

It wasn’t fulfilling. It wasn’t impactful.

It didn’t move the needle for thousands of mom-and-pop restaurants.

We built ABR to be a powerhouse that brings attention to independent restaurants in ways they’ve never seen. To give them marketing muscle. To create a company where people love coming to work and know they’re making a difference.

But when you’re deep in the grind, doubt creeps in.

You question if you’re the person who can actually pull it off.

Then the universe throws you a reminder:

A Wyclef song drops.

You see a post from MrBeast or the Savannah Bananas.

And it hits you: “It took them 10 years.”

This version of ABR – the one you know today – is only 4 years old.

We’re just getting started.

The real lesson?

I underestimated the pain.

I had to raise my threshold.

I had to learn to embrace the suck because that’s the price of doing something massive.

It’s normal to question yourself when you’re building something that’s never been done. But that doesn’t mean you stop. That means you double down.

Because in 6 years, we’ll look back on these moments and realize:

This is when we earned it.

So if you’re in the trenches too, keep swinging.

You’re not broken. You’re building.

Have an awesome week…

MP OUT.

📚 This week’s book: Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson

Warning, this is a HARD and long read. However, I’m suggesting this book so you can read about the incredible journey Elon has been on. Love him or hate him, this guy is built different, and once you read it, you’ll realize what we do every day is light work and easily attainable.
